If you switch off your logic and ignore the gender politics, the film is genuinely entertaining. The writing is crisp, and the banter between the characters feels natural. The "war" between Sonu and Sweety provides several laugh-out-loud moments, particularly in scenes involving Alok Nath (playing a very modern grandfather) and the pre-wedding shenanigans.
The story follows two childhood best friends, Sonu (Kartik Aaryan) and Titu (Sunny Singh). Titu is the emotional, gullible guy who constantly falls for the wrong women and gets his heart broken. Sonu is the protective, street-smart "big brother" figure who always saves him. The conflict arises when Titu falls for Sweety (Nushrratt Bharuccha), the "perfect" woman. Sonu instinctively feels she is too good to be true and suspects a hidden agenda, leading to a hilarious and chaotic battle of wits between the best friend and the girlfriend.
