My god, what an entrance. Yoo-jin is the wife of a presidential candidate and the de facto head of the powerful JB Group. She is cold, calculating, and absolutely magnetic. We watch her destroy a political rival with a single sentence and orchestrate a hit on Je-ha (who inadvertently stole classified files during his escape). the k2 ep 1

While Je-ha is the muscle of the story, Episode 1 makes it clear that the dramatic tension lies with the antagonist, Choi Yoo-jin (Song Yoon-ah). Yoo-jin is introduced as the epitome of calculated ambition. As the wife of presidential candidate Jang Se-joon (Jo Sung-ha), she is the power behind the throne—or at least, she intends to be.

In a chance encounter at a Madrid subway station, she pleads for help from (Ji Chang-wook). While Je-ha initially helps her fight off her pursuers, he is ultimately unable to prevent her recapture. Six months later, the scene shifts to South Korea, where Je-ha is living off the grid, working as a temporary banner hanger.

Ayumi Ito shines as Yuri, bringing a sense of vulnerability and determination to her character. Her portrayal of a strong and capable woman, who is also fragile and human, is impressive. Chae Jong-hyeok, on the other hand, brings a sense of mystery and charisma to SiON, making him an intriguing and complex character.
