Sometimes your computer "remembers" the wrong path to a website. Flushing the DNS forces it to look for the site again.

If you trust the site completely, you can disable SmartScreen permanently (not recommended) via edge://settings/privacy , but the temporary bypass is the safer route.

When Edge displays a red screen stating "This site has been reported as unsafe," it is the SmartScreen filter acting up.
