BitLocker is Windows' built-in encryption feature designed to protect your data by encrypting your hard drive. While this is an excellent security measure, there are times you may need to disable it—for example, if you are selling your PC, performing specific hardware upgrades, or if you simply prefer not to deal with recovery keys during reboots.
