On newer Samsung devices (One UI 5.0+), there is an setting (Settings → Security and privacy → Auto Blocker). This is different: it blocks unauthorized app installations and USB commands, not phone numbers. Do not confuse it with call blocking.

Once you block a number on a Samsung device, that contact call you, send you SMS/MMS messages, or reach you via certain linked services (like Google Messages or Samsung’s native dialer). However, you will not be notified of any blocked attempts.
