In vSphere 6.7, VMware introduced native support for persistent memory (PMem) and refined the vSAN licensing.

There are several options available for obtaining vSphere 6.7 licenses:

: Critical security patches are no longer released.

: vSphere 6.7 licenses generally cover up to 32 cores per CPU. If your CPU has more cores, you may need additional licenses under newer Broadcom terms.

: You can run 6.7 for 60 days with full features for free, after which VM power-on functions are disabled.

Since 6.7 is no longer sold directly, users often manage licenses through the portal (now part of Broadcom).

: New server hardware (latest Intel/AMD chips) likely won't support 6.7 drivers. 🔄 Upgrading and Downgrading

: You can access the knowledge base, but Broadcom engineers will not provide "how-to" or configuration assistance.
