Touch an unpainted metal part of the case or wear an anti-static strap. | Prevents ESD damage to sensitive electronics. | | 3 | Mount the drive. Slide the HDD into an empty 3.5" bay. Insert one end into the HDD and the other into an available SATA port on the motherboard. | L-shaped connector is keyed to prevent reversal. | | 5 | Connect SATA power.
