This has been one of my favorite songs for years. I contacted Rick back in 2002 about collaborating, partly because I had sung this song so many times. The recording is from Rick's Praise Classics 2 CD. - Elton, September 12, 2009

Lyrics

Lord, I lift Your name on high.
Lord, I love to sing Your praises.
I'm so glad You're in my life;
I'm so glad You came to save us.

You came from Heaven to earth
To show the way.
From the Earth to the cross,
My debt to pay.
From the cross to the grave,
From the grave to the sky;
Lord, I lift Your name on high.

Lord, I lift Your name on high.
Lord, I love to sing Your praises.
I'm so glad You're in my life;
I'm so glad You came to save us.

You came from Heaven to earth
To show the way.
From the Earth to the cross,
My debt to pay.
From the cross to the grave,
From the grave to the sky;
Lord, I lift Your name on high.

You came from Heaven to earth
To show the way.
From the Earth to the cross,
My debt to pay.
From the cross to the grave,
From the grave to the sky;
Lord, I lift Your name on high.

You came from Heaven to earth
To show the way.
From the Earth to the cross,
My debt to pay.
From the cross to the grave,
From the grave to the sky;
Lord, I lift Your name on high.

The company cited unfavorable climate conditions and poor sap production in 2007 and 2008, which led to a severe shortage of pure maple syrup.

The syrup served at Cracker Barrel is branded as "100% Pure Natural Syrup". It is free from artificial flavors, preservatives, and high-fructose corn syrup.

They serve a maple-flavored pancake syrup, similar to brands like Mrs. Butterworth’s or Log Cabin, not pure maple syrup from a maple tree.

If you order pancakes, waffles, or French toast at Cracker Barrel, the syrup served on the table or by request is a , not pure maple syrup.

According to Cracker Barrel’s own nutritional and ingredient information (available on their website and via allergen menus), the syrup listed for pancakes, French toast, and waffles is described as “Sugar Free Syrup” or “Maple Syrup” – but the full ingredient list for the standard maple-flavored syrup shows:

For those who are strictly "team maple" and want nothing to do with cane sugar, you might be out of luck during your sit-down meal. Generally, Cracker Barrel does not keep 100% pure maple syrup behind the counter for restaurant service.

Some Cracker Barrel locations may sell bottled pure maple syrup in their attached Country Store (retail section) as a grocery item. However, this is for purchase to take home, not served in the dining room. A customer could theoretically buy a bottle from the store and ask to use it at their table, but this is not standard practice.

If you are a maple purist, you may notice the difference, but for the average breakfast lover, the Cracker Barrel blend remains one of the best-tasting syrups in the industry. If you’d like more details, I can look into: The of their syrup blend How it compares to other chains like IHOP or Denny's
