The episode opens on a quiet, rainy evening at Woodstone. is at her laptop in the library, headphones on, listening to an old voicemail from her late mother. Jay brings her tea. The ghosts hover nearby, uncharacteristically silent.
The next morning, a (unseen, just noise) accidentally hits an old power line while digging a new foundation for the B&B’s expansion. Lights flicker. A loud POP —then the laptop screen goes black. “You’re really building them a digital afterlife, huh
However, things take a turn when they discover that Marty's music is, in fact, incredibly good, but it was rejected by his record label just before he died. Feeling sorry for Marty, they band together to help him not only find his lost tracks but also get them produced and heard by the world.
In "Ghosts" S03E10, titled "Lossless," the gang at the Woodstone Manor is dealing with a new, somewhat comedic haunting that revolves around a ghost who was a music producer in life. This ghost, named Marty, is stuck between worlds because he believes he left behind a masterpiece of a music album that he was working on when he died. The problem is, the album was recorded on outdated technology, and the current inhabitants of the manor can't seem to understand what Marty is trying to communicate. And again

That night, is about to transfer the final $20 from her personal account when the laptop flickers —and fully dies. The hard drive makes a click of death .
