Unclog Drain ^new^ -

Arthur stared. "It’s not the sink," he muttered. "It’s the line."

Usually found in bathroom sinks and showers.

"Arthur," Clara said, her voice dangerously calm. "The basement." unclog drain

"Well," Arthur said, picking up the cap and tossing it into the trash. "Mystery solved. The drain is clear."

Arthur positioned the rubber cup over the drain. He pressed down, creating a seal. Thwump. He pulled back. Schloomp. Arthur stared

Arthur’s wife, Clara, stood in the doorway, arms crossed. "Well?" she asked. "Is it time to call the plumber?"

He shone the light on the PVC pipe. There was a cleanout plug, but the real issue was visible immediately. A dark, wet stain was spreading around a joint in the pipe. And dripping from that joint was a thick, black ooze. "Arthur," Clara said, her voice dangerously calm

The water began to churn violently, but it wasn't going down. It was frothing, angry and brown. With a final, heroic heave, Arthur pulled the plunger up. A geyser of grey water erupted, splashing Arthur’s shirt, the mirror, and the fresh towels Clara had just hung up.

By Wednesday afternoon, the "problem" had escalated to a "crisis." The water level had risen, threatening to spill over the porcelain lip of the sink. It was a murky, grey soup of toothpaste residue and shaving cream. The bathroom, usually a sanctuary of ceramic and chrome, smelled faintly of rotten eggs.
