Google Chrome stores your favorites (bookmarks) in a file called Bookmarks within your user profile directory. While you can access and edit this file directly, it's recommended to use Chrome's built-in bookmark manager for a more user-friendly experience. Knowing where your bookmarks are stored can be helpful for troubleshooting or migrating your data to another browser.

If you find the file, do not try to double-click it. It is not an HTML file. It is a JSON file.

If your goal is to move favorites to a new computer rather than troubleshooting a technical issue, It is much safer to use Chrome's built-in export tool.
