Unlike the 2D fighters common for the franchise on other platforms, Blade Battlers utilizes a fully 3D environment. Players choose from a roster of iconic characters and engage in free-for-all or tag-team matches where the primary goal is to deplete the opponent's health.
This was a separate game mode where players selected a character and progressed through a grid of missions, earning coins and leveling up their "Battlers Points." The missions had specific win conditions—defeat the enemy in 30 seconds, win with only special moves, or survive a gauntlet of opponents. This mode provided a massive amount of replay value, encouraging players to master the roster and unlock rare characters and alternate costumes.
