Perched on the jagged cliffs of the Veridian Coast, where the sea mist perpetually shrouds the base of the mountains, stands Tracen Academy. To the outside world, it is merely an elite, reclusive boarding school for the children of diplomats, tech moguls, and old money. The brochures promise "unparalleled academic rigor" and "character formation in isolation."

The architecture of Tracen is a collision of eras. The Main Hall, known as "The Spire," is a gothic cathedral of stone and stained glass, rumored to be built on the ruins of a 19th-century fortress. Surrounding it, however, are sleek, brutalist dormitories and state-of-the-art laboratories buried deep within the cliffside.
