When the specialized driver fails, the computer falls back to a "Basic Display Adapter" mode, which only supports low resolutions.

This often occurs after playing a full-screen video game that crashed or changed your display settings.

Ensure your resolution is set to the (Recommended) setting in Display settings.

Go to Settings > System > Display and check the "Scale" percentage. It should usually be at 100% or 125% .

Go to Settings > System > Display . Look for "Scale and layout." If it’s set to 200% or 300%, try lowering it back to the "Recommended" setting (usually 100% or 125%).
